860 Ranunculus pallasii Schlecht.

This species occurs probably rather frequently in arctic Eurasia and partly N. America. The hybrid between this species and R. lapponicus (no. 859) is known from Spitsbergen by the name of R. pallasii var. spitzbergensis Nath. The species is reported as a fossil from Sakhalin (Acta phytotax. geobot. 1912, p. 302). It belongs to the circumpolar plants with a gap in NW. Europe (Hultén, Circumpol. Il, p. 14 and map 6).
