Syn.: Anemone pulsatilla L.

This variable species is restricted to Europe, including subsp. grandis (Wender.) Zamels in C. Europe and Ukraine. The closely related, variable P. turczaninovii Kry!. & Serg., widely distributed in Asia, is also mapped. For P. halleri (All.)
