1205 Vicia villosa Roth
This polymorphic species probably originates from S. and SE. Europe and adjacent parts of Africa and Asia. According to Fl. Eur. 2/1968, p. 132, it is represented in Europe by five subspecies. As it is cultivated for fodder it has been introduced into, for instance, N. Europe and naturalized there as well as in N. America, Japan and other places.
