Anthemis arvensis
1802 Anthemis arvensis L.
This species originates probably from S. Europe. From there it has spread as a weed northwards, now occurring in most of Europe, and, at least, in N. America, S. Africa, Australia and New Zealand. The closely related A. ruthenica Bieb. (often taken as a subspecies of A. arvensis) in continental SE. Europe is included on this map. The species is reported among the circumpolar plants (Hultén, Circumpol. Il, p. 194 and map 186), although the present distribution is more amphi-atlantic.
