1646 Veronica chamaedrys L.

This originally Eurasiatic species is favoured by man's clearings of the landscape. In the SE. part of the range subsp. vindobonensis M. Fisch. has been distinguished (Fl. Eur. 3/1972, p. 247). The species has been introduced into N. America and New Zealand. With regard to the present distribution the species can be referred to the amphi-atlantic plants.
