1718 Utricularia minor L.

This species is widely distributed in Eurasia and N. America. Its distribution is almost circumpolar (Hultén, Circumpol. Il, p. 108 and map 99). However, it is probably lacking in large areas of Siberia. Its occurrence there is definitely incompletely known. The population in Japan is distinguished as var. multispinosa Miki, possibly occurring also on the E. Asiatic mainland. Cf. also Meusel et al. 1978, map p. 417.
