1558 Myosotis alpestris Schm. subsp. asiatica Vestergr.

This arctic-montane subspecies occurs from Kola and Pamir eastwards to western N. America. It belongs to a group of closely related taxa (cf. Fl. Eur. 3/1972, p. 114f.). The total range of some of these taxa, occurring mainly in C. and S. Europe, is also mapped. Cf. also Meusel et al. 1978, map p. 364.
