1380 Cornus suecica L.

This widespread species has two separate distribution areas, one North Atlantic (amphi-atlantic species according to Hultén, Amphi-atl., p. 256 and map 238) and one Pacific. W here C. suecica and C. canadensis L. meet, hybrids occur. Some finds of Pliocene and Pleistocene (late-glacial) age are marked. Cf. also Meusel et al. 1978, map p. 323.
