1052 Rubus saxatilis L.

This species is widely distributed in Eurasia. Occurring (as introduced?) on Greenland it may be regarded as an amphi-atlantic plant (Hultén, Amphi-atl., p. 104 and map 85). The N. American counterpart is R. pubescens Raf., frequently hybridizing with R. arcticus subsp. acaulis (see no. 1051). Cf. also Meusel et al. 1965, map p. 211.
