1021 Saxifraga hirculus L.

This widespread species is morphologically somewhat varying within this large area. It belongs to the circumpolar plants (Hultén, Circumpol. Il, p. 74 and map 66). It is nowadays becoming rarer and is probably extinct in several places, at least in Europe. Cf. also Meusel et al. 1965, map p. 201.
