1386 Chaerophyllum bulbosum L.

This Eurasiatic species includes two subspecies, viz. subsp. bulbosum in C. and partly SE. Europe and subsp. prescottii (DC.) Nym. continuing towards the north and northeast. The area shown on the map includes also the closely related Ch. caucasicum (Fisch.) Schischk. And Ch. bobrovii Schischk. In Caucasus and C. Asia, respectively (more likely subspecies of Ch. bulbosum). The species occurs as a casual in several places in N. and C. Europe. Cf. also Meusel et al. 1978, map p. 306.
