1004 Sedum telephium L.

This widespread and polymorphic species is indigenous in Eurasia. In Fl. Eur. 1/1964, p. 358, four subspecies are distinguished. It is at present impossible to map them separately. To these, subsp. caucasicum Grossh. in Caucasus may be added. The scattered localities in China refer to subsp. angustum Maxim. The N. American counterpart is the closely related S. telephioides Michx, but S. telephium has also been introduced into N. America. Cf. also Meusel et al. 1965, map p. 196.
